Aug. 11th, 2008 09:15 pmKerri Walsh, US volleyball player in the Olympics, loses her wedding band during a match.
Volunteers find it in the sand after the match. There is much rejoicing.
Announcer before the US-Cuba match (8/11, ~9:15 PM EST): "Now why was that wedding band so important?"
Um. Because it's her WEDDING BAND? Yeah, there's a sweet, personal message on it, but does it REALLY matter? It's a symbol of the love she and her husband share! That should be all that matters.
Blargh. Just ticked me off a bit, is all :P
