Article Published
Jul. 13th, 2006 03:19 pmAt long last, my first article is out in print (read: physical) form! The official journal link should work for everyone: http://jn.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/96/1/252. If not, just comment and I'll fix it. The article is essentially the same as what I posted about before, only now you can pick up the magazine where it appears.
Glee =D
EDIT: Bah, the link is for subscribers only. But there are ways around that >_>

Article in PresS!
Mar. 31st, 2006 10:24 amWell, after about 3.5 years in grad school, I finally have an article out :) Granted, I'm only second author, but for me, this has been quite an exhilirating and breathtaking time. This morning, I learned that the Journal of Neurophysiology has released the article to the web under their special "Articles in PresS" section; the article is in manuscript form, meaning it's not formatted for the journal yet, but is readable and includes all the figures. Normally, you'd need to go through a school or academic proxy to be able to read it, but I was sneaky and saved the manuscript to my website:

WARNING ABOUT THE ARTICLE: The work described herein contains descriptions of EXPERIMENTS and SURGERY performed on LIVING ANIMALS. Depending on how you feel about this, you may not want to download the paper at all, or if you do, you may want to skip over the METHODS section.
Thanks for taking the time to read this; I'm normally not one to toot his own horn, so to speak, but again, I'm very excited about this. Enjoy :D
