You might have read in
timelesswings's journal about her views on Liberace Jadeite and Possessed Plushie Luna. Well...yeah. I'm gonna give a summary of what happens in the episode, followed by some comments. NOTE: This might not be totally accurate, as my knowledge of Japanese is severely limited:
A shadowy figure walks down a dark street, dropping a few large pieces of jewelry. He stops and looks up at a figure in the distance; it's Sailor V, and when we cut back to the man, we see it's Tuxedo Kamen/Mask. She shines a weapon in his direction, and leaps forward to attack. Tux jumps at her, and they land apart from each other. Sailor V turns to him and smirks, and the two charge at each other again. Tux looks down to see a back he was holding is now ripped open, its contents (more jewelry) now leaking out. He angrilly tosses the loot away and runs from the battle, followed by Sailor V.
Usagi Tsukino is wrapped up in bed, refusing to get up today. Her brother Shingo comes into her room and shows her the time; freaked out at how late it is, she hurriedly gets dressed and asks her mother to get her lunch ready. After catching a few minutes about a news article about Sailor V, she rushes out of the house and tries to dash to school. On the way, though, a doll falls from the sky and falls on her face; she pulls it away and notes that it's a purple plush cat with a crescent-moon shape on its forehead. She puts the doll back down and runs off to school. The doll comes to life and mutters something to itself.
At school, Usagi is being punished by Professor Haruna, who tells her something and points out her classmate, Ami Mizuno. Usagi is forced to clean the desks after school, but her friend Naru comes along and helps her out so they can leave early and go to the Crown Karaoke...place. After singing for a while, Usagi and Naru head over to a studio where Naru's mother's clothing designs are to be shown in a fashion show. Usagi soon leaves Naru and sneaks off to check out some of the dresses that the girls will be wearing. She parades with one in her arms, and accidentally runs into a handsome looking young man. She apologizes, but the guy says something back that seems very condescending; she angrilly brushes past him on her way out, much to his chagrin. The young man overhears some people talking about the jewelry the girls will be wearing, and peaking in to the dressing room, he notes some of the jewels, and mentions the "mabaroshi no ginziushou" - the Illusionary Silver Crystal.
Usagi is back home, and as it's late, she decides to go to sleep. The doll has suddenly appeared next to her pillow, however, and so she picks it up and wonders how it got there (I guess). The doll suddenly calls out to her, leaps out of her hands, and proceeds to walk toward her. Of course, she freaks out, and starts to run out of her room, but the doll - who introduces itself as Luna - blocks the way. Usagi turns back to her bed, believing everything to be a dream, as the doll talks about Usagi being a "senshi" - "Guardian" in this case - and protecting some princess. Usagi is still convinced this is a dream, so she tucks herself into the bed to sleep. Luna shakes her head, and leaves a pecular looking cellphone on the window sill. She then leaps away into the night.
The next morning, Naru's mother is preparing the presentation hall when an amorphous pair of hands reaches up behind her and looms over her. Naru approaches her later and the two talk about something; however, she feels that something is wrong with her mother, and becomes convinced that it's not her. She starts running away from her, and runs into one of the stage hands, begging for his help. He transforms into a blonde man with blue eyes and a black uniform, presses a finger to her head, and makes her collapse. He approaches the monster he has created, and tells it something.
Meanwhile, Luna is walking around the building, talking to herself, when she notices Usagi trying to get into the building via a tower near the second floor. She falls off the tower and onto Luna, though, who tells her there is another way to get in. She presents Usagi with her transformation brooch and a stick of lipstick, then guides her to the window of the dressing room. She tells something to Usagi, who opens the cellphone and points it toward one of the girls. With the press of the button, Usagi is dressed just like her! With this disguise, she is easily able to enter the building. Naru's mother enters the stage after her models finish their presentation, and as the audience claps for her designs, she emits a gas that knocks everyone out. She walks up to one of the girls and says something about "energy" when Usagi - back in her normal clothes - confronts her. She gives her speech (different from the cartoon one), and tells Naru's mother to stop. Suddenly, the amorphous arms come out and start to attack Usagi, who quickly freaks out and runs.
Usagi jumps down from a ledge nearby and approaches Luna, who tells her to use the brooch she gave her. With a twirl of her arms, Usagi shouts "Moon Prism Power - Make UP!", takes out the lipstick, and transforms into Sailor Moon. Another speech, and she's off dodging the arms again. This time, she is able to dodge them deftly. She pulls out the Moon Stick from her brooch and shouts out "Moon Healing Escalation" to destroy the monster and heal Naru's mother. Jadeite sees this all from behind a column, and as Sailor Moon walks away, hurls a dagger of ice at her. Before it can connect, though, a figure appears and pulls Sailor Moon out of the way. He introduces himself as Tuxedo Mask, and walks away, impressed with the fight. The show ends with Sailor Moon pondering her victory and her new role, and a montage of Sailor Moon, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, V, Jadeite, and Tuxedo Mask appears on the screen.
In a dark, dank castle, a ball of fire glows quietly. Queen Beryl angrilly mutters something about Sailor Moon, then looks at the screen menacingly. Next Episode, we meet Ami Mizuno, Sailor Mercury.
My comments:
Luna the Possessed Plush - too hilarious for words. They CG her motions for the most part, except for simple head-bobs and jumping around. Funny as hell.
Jadeite looks like Liberace, according to Jen. I guess it's his flashy costume.
It's funny to see Tux wearing a mask that needs to be held on by a rope around the head, as oppossed to one held up by magic, I guess.
Queen Beryl screams Rita Ripulsa from Power Rangers.
Overall - yeah, this show screams "cheese", but it's a good cheese if you're a fan of Sailor Moon. I'll give it a 7.5/10 until I get some translations for it.
