Pika . . . I'm kidding
Feb. 5th, 2003 08:46 pmHey, when I asked my fiancée what to put for the subject, that's what she said. Oh well : )
Settled in to classes, and they're not too bad so far - though I cannot stand that my "Numerical Modeling and Methods" professor assumes we all have an extensive CS background . . . it's been too long since I've programmed : ( Why does Fortran have to be so complicated . . . hell, why do they all have to be? Argh ><
This weekend BU is having a retreat for its Post-Docs, Post-qualified Ph.Ds, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Ph.D. trainees - and I would happen to fall in the latter. You know, I would be more excited about this if I had a poster to present, but since I'm just starting up in my lab rotations, I don't have anything to talk about. So I'll be up in Newport, RI, watching other presenters and listening to talks about the future of the program. It'll be cool, but still, I want to present again - I had fun when I did it last year for Senior Project.
Jen and I have settled into the new crib rather well, and now we have the daunting task of bringing her things here from my office - I think we have all the heavier boxes left : ( I like the fact that I don't have to go outside to get rid of the garbage, though - the dumpsters are outside our windows, so it's convenient.
Metroid Prime is scary and hard. I never realized how absolutely terrifying a metroid could be until it splits in two and starts to suck you dry *shudder* But it's an awesome game - Nintendo should make another for the 'Cube soon. First, however, I need to beat this one . . . if ever possible.
However, not tonight. I'm done for the night. Peace.
