I never cease to be amazed by the lack of common sense possesed by the idiots in the Student Activities Office (SAO) here at Boston University. See, the Student Association of Graduate Engineers (SAGE) has been going to Red Sox games and planning inter-department wars for the last 5 summers, with no problems. Now we are informed that SAO will not allow events that are planned after the end of their planning period - May 1st. However, graduate engineers only get funding contingent on their staying over the summer to do research . . . so are we to just sit around the entire summer months without a chance to do something non-educational? And it's not like we are children who need constant supervision - most of us in SAGE are at least 23 years old, hardly undergrads that need so much red tape to wade through.

My point? SAO needs to realize that the needs of a minority of students still needs to be met, and shouldn't make us go through so much nonsense in order to meet those needs.
