Seems the Smash Dojo is going to start posting Hidden Character information now that the game has seen release in Japan. Shame, I really liked that site, but I'm going to have to avoid it from now on if I want to stay relatively spoiler-free until March 9.

Metroid Prime: Corruption is AWESOME.

I've only played the opening level so far, but man, the game handles REALLY WELL. The controls will take some getting used to, seeing as I'm not really an FPS kind of guy, but so far they work quite well. The sound is INCREDIBLE, too, quite the step up from Echoes, and the designers have sure gotten the feel of the game down pat (pact?) The graphics are alright, but again, the Wii isn't known for ZOMG GRAFIX; this is probably the one area that's comparable to Echoes, but that's not really a bad thing.

Go play it. If you're an FPS person, you'll get the hang of the controls in no time. Even if you're not, the game plays really well and continues the essence of the first two perfectly.

Oh, and because Jen is being shy for some reason: Super Paper Mario is very cute. A slight deviation from the first two - it's more of a side-scroller/adventure|RPG than before, but the feel, again, is preserved quite well. You never really feel like you have to grind to get levels, which is good, as the gameplay is so seamless and engaging you'll forget, at times, that it is an RPG at heart. Play it if you liked the first ones, or if you like the Mario series in general.

Quick recap: the 60GB PS3 will be discontinued by the end of July or August in the US. They'll still be on the shelves, but once gone, that's it, you'd have to get the $599 80GB one.

You know...I don't hate the PS3, far from it; it's a gorgeous machine and the games look absolutely STUNNING on it, and I WOULD love to play MGS4 and FFXIII at some point. But God dammit, Sony, you just LOVE to piss all over your current and potential customers, don't you? By the time I'd be able to afford the 60GB at its current price, they'd likely be gone, and I don't know how I feel about $100 for 20 measely gigs I'll probably never use -_-
